About Our Ministries
NBM Ministries
Children Ministry:
The children's ministry provides a safe, fun environment for children, where God is present and His love and acceptance of everyone are learned and practiced through appropriate lessons, puppetry, games, and crafts.
Women’s Ministry:
The Women’s Ministry facilitates programs that help women develop relationships with Jesus Christ. Through small groups, seminars, conferences, workshops, storytelling, and others, women in the church and community are nurtured in their faith and mature in their knowledge of self and God. Women’s ministry empowers mothers, daughters, sisters, wives, etc. through hope-filled, life-giving, and inspiring programs to identify and reach their purpose in life.
Correctional Team:
The Correctional Ministry regularly visits regional prisons holding services and discussions with the inmates, thereby boosting their morale, and encouraging a new or closer relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
Christian Education:
The Christian Education Ministry advances the maturity of members in various settings, thereby making them more comfortable in their Christianity and more useful to God.
Drama:
Use various godly and inspiring artistic forms to praise God and demonstrate His love for us.
Evangelism:
The Evangelism Ministry goes beyond the walls of NBM to spread the gospel to the saved and unsaved through Personal Evangelism. This ministry serves to meet the needs of God's people by serving the homeless, incarcerated, and others by sharing God's word and providing necessities for daily living.
Fellowship:
Fellowship brings community to New Beginnings, and outreach to our saved brothers and sisters. The committee provides culinary and other services (simple or upscale) and works in partnership with other ministries to effect successful major church events.
Finance Ministry:
The Financial Advisory Ministry is accountable to the Board. It drafts a common budget for the upcoming year and presents it to the NBM Board for review, and discussion, and finally to the NBM membership for approval. They also attend to audit responsibilities. The Ministry regularly reviews budgets, and/or designated funds to ensure they are spent within intended roles and means. As required, the Ministry will research and advise on new and innovative ways to generate revenue for NBM.
Food Bank:
The Food Bank Ministry appeals to the church to assist and support, through cheerful giving, those in need by providing non-perishable food items, gift cards, and other necessities for daily living.
Greeters:
Greeters welcome those who come to worship to ensure they feel comfortable in our church and are open to the presence of the Holy Spirit.
Helping Hands: Helping Hands Ministry provides assistance and support, giving cheerfully and generously to those in need; supporting repasts and providing a food tray to grieving families, supporting families of newborn babies with food and other items, supporting fellowship and special events, and addressing requests for “WE CARE” boxes.
Men’s Ministry:
Men’s Ministry serves to disciple men to live a Christ-centered life for Family, Church, and the world.
Prayer Ministry:
Prayer ministry helps lead the church to an active life of prayer, and to meet the needs of others through prayers of the NBM church community.
Music Ministry:
The Music Ministry comprises the Choir and Praise Team. The ministry uses songs to enhance the atmosphere for praise and worship and encourage the presence of the Holy Spirit in our worship service.
Nursery:
The Nursery provides a safe, fun environment for infants/toddlers, where God is present, andHis love and acceptance are learned through songs, stories, appropriate games, and crafts.
Online Ministry:
Online ministry ensures that the in-service worship experience through song, word, and prayer is transmitted to our online members and friends through audio and visual technical support.
Parking Ministry:
The Parking Ministry greets members and guests as they arrive on the church property and assist with any needs to help them get into the church.
Small Groups:
Small Group Ministry facilitates the study of scriptures in small gatherings of 3-10 attendees. Its goal is to bring people to a closer relationship with God.
Prayer line: To meet the needs of others through online notice of prayer requests to the
NBM church community.
Seniors Ministry:
The Seniors Ministry reaches seniors in the church and community through the teachings of Jesus Christ and diverse activities that support active aging.
Ushers:
Ushers provide, assistance, and guidance to ensure that those who come to worship have a heartfelt and rewarding experience and provide parking and other services to ensure the inside and outside of the facility are safe and welcoming to NBM members and guests.
Youth Ministry:
The Youth Ministry responds to the social and spiritual needs of youths in our community. Through the teachings of Jesus Christ, youths learn to resist the influence of a godless society and to become godly leaders who influence others toward a hopeful and peace-filled life.
Service:
The various service ministries provide evangelical focus for mission programs, provide assistance and support to those in need, and provide parking and other services to ensure the inside and outside of the facility are safe and welcoming to NBM members and guests.
Helping Hands:
Helping Hands Ministry provides assistance and support, giving cheerfully and generously to those in need; supporting repasts and providing a food tray to grieving families, supporting families of newborn babies with food and other items, supporting fellowship and special events, and addressing requests for “WE CARE” boxes.
Custodial:
Ensure the inside of the NBM facility is clean and maintained in order to provide a safe, healthy, and pleasing environment for all who enter.
Correctional Team:
To visit regional prisons and hold services/discussions with inmates thereby boosting their morale, creating relationships/networks, and encouraging new or closer contact with Christian values and Jesus Christ.
Outreach and Missions:
Build relationships and partnerships with local and global communities, and support those who are addressing the physical and spiritual needs of others in their specific environments. Expand the influence of NBM Christian values in local priority areas and be Christ’s ambassadors by serving and sharing the gospel.
Exterior Operations:
To ensure the exterior/grounds of NBM are suitable for safe and efficient parking/walking, are well maintained, and are pleasing to view. Includes all snow removal.
Prayer line:
To meet the needs of others through online notice of prayer requests to the NBM church community.
Prayer Garden & Prayer Room:
To meet the needs of others through prayers of the NBM church community.
